Creating RDS MySQL Database with Public Access

Amazon Relational Database Service (Amazon RDS) makes it easy to set up, operate, and scale a relational database in the cloud. It provides cost-efficient and resizable capacity while automating time-consuming administration tasks such as hardware provisioning, database setup, patching and backups. It frees you to focus on your applications so you can give them the fast performance, high availability, security and compatibility they need.

1. 1. Login to AWS console and go to RDS for service menu
   2. Click on Create Database
      
   3. For this lab, we will select MySQL as our RDBMS
      Make you do free tier only checkbox to avoid any charges
      
   4. Let it be default
      

   5. Input DB Instance Identifier, Master username (This is would be used to login into your database) & Password
      
   6. Let the VPC be default for this lab and it should publicly accessibly under default security group (make sure port 3306 is allowed)
      
   7. Give a database name, this database would be created in your RDS
      
   8. Rest be default, and disable deletion protection so you can easily delete this RDS later
      
   9. Voila, your database is created
